Patrick Kenney
Artistic Director
Patrick is the founding artistic director at Fine Print. He first developed a passion for making new plays while working with the Purple Rose Theatre Co. in his hometown of Chelsea, Michigan. Patrick is a professional actor with experience on stage, film and television, and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association. Emmi Hilger
Associate Artistic Director
Emmi Hilger is thrilled to join the Fine Print team! She is a Chicago area director who loves collaborating with playwrights and the Artistic Director of Something Marvelous, a festival of magical realism. For Something Marvelous, Emmi has directed The Clean House by Sarah Ruhl, References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot by José Rivera, the workshop of Koalas by J. Joseph Cox, Sunrise: Ardmore Beach by Hallie Palladino, and Sheltered by Laura Nessler. Recent directing credits also include Love in the Time of Bumblehive by Jeff Tabnick (Stage Left’s Leapfest), Sand Castles by John Green (RhinoFest), 10 Things by Scott Tobin (Collaboraction’s Sketchbook), The Lover by Harold Pinter which she co-produced in association with Walkabout Theater Company and Punk Grandpa, a solo show by Laura Scruggs that has performed across the country. Emmi has worked extensively on new plays with Chicago Dramatists, Piccolo Theatre, 20% Theatre Company, Women’s Theatre Allicance, Pegasus Players, and Strangeloop Theatre. www.emmihilger.com

Heather Bodie
Associate Producer
Heather is one of the co-founders of The Fine Print. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Theatre Arts, and studied Improv and Musical Improv at The Second City Training Center. She is a member of the all-female improv group Eleanor and performs often with her folk rock band MIDWEST. Heather participated in the Iowa new play festival four years in a row as both an actor and a director, and is one of the co-founders of the undergraduate directing program at the University of Iowa.

Jarrod Bainter
Production Manager
Jarrod has been involved in starting and developing theatre companies since 2002, while working at The Apollo Theatre in his hometown of Peoria, IL. He currently works as a theatrical designer and technician in the greater Chicago area. Talents and experience include lighting design, scenic design, projection design, stage management, scenic carpentry, and scenic painting.

Shannon Wheaton
Outreach Coordinator
Shannon has been working as a human rights activist for nearly five years. In addition to her work with Amnesty International, she has volunteered with the Enough Project, Invisible Children, Equality Across America, the Genocide Intervention Network, and RefugeeOne. As Outreach Coordinator, Shannon creates partnerships with local nonprofit organizations dedicated to bettering the lives of others. These partnerships provide an opportunity to raise awareness of political and social issues featured in Fine Print productions.

Gretchen received a BA, with a focus in photography, from Montana State University. Dave Belden appeared as Dad in The Fine Print’s production of BOY SMALL.
